8-Hydroxyquinoline for pharmaceutical intermediates
Main application
1. Used as a pharmaceutical intermediate, it is a raw material for the synthesis of ketoconazole, chloroiodoquinol, and chlorpheniramine, as well as an intermediate for dyes and pesticides. This product is an intermediate of halogenated quinoline anti amoebic drugs, including quinolone, chloroiodoquinol, diiodoquinoline, etc. These drugs exert anti amoebic effects by inhibiting intestinal commensal bacteria, are effective against amoebic dysentery, and have no effect on extraintestinal amoebic protozoa. According to foreign reports, this type of drug can cause subacute spinal optic neuropathy, so it has been banned in Japan and the United States. Diiodoquinol is less likely to cause this disease than chloroiodoquinol. 8-Hydroxyquinoline is also an intermediate in dyes and pesticides. Its sulfates and copper salts are excellent preservatives, disinfectants, and mold inhibitors. This product is a complexometric titration indicator for chemical analysis.
2. Used as a chelating agent and extractant for precipitation and separation of metal ions, capable of reacting with Cu+2 Be+2, Mg+2, Ca+2, Sr+2, Ba+2, Zn?+2, Cd+2, Al+3, Ga+3, In+3, Tl+3, Yt+3, La +3, Pb+2, B+3, Sb?+3, Cr+3, MoO?+22, Mn+2, Fe+3, Co+2, Ni+2, Pd+2, Ce+3, Complex with various metal ions. Standard for determination of heterocyclic nitrogen by organic microanalysis, organic synthesis. It is also an intermediate for dyes, pesticides, and halogenated quinoline anti amoebic drugs. Its sulfates and copper salts are excellent preservatives.
3. Adding epoxy resin adhesive can improve the bonding strength and heat aging resistance to metals (especially stainless steel), and the dosage is generally 0.5-3 parts. It is an intermediate of halogenated quinoline anti amoebic drugs, as well as an intermediate of pesticides and dyes. Can be used as a mold inhibitor, industrial preservative, stabilizer for polyester resin, phenolic resin, and hydrogen peroxide, or as a complexometric titration indicator for chemical analysis.
4. This product is an intermediate of halogenated quinoline drugs, as well as an intermediate of dyes and pesticides. Its sulfates and copper salts are excellent preservatives, disinfectants, and mold inhibitors. The maximum allowable content (mass fraction) in cosmetics is 0.3%. Sunscreen products and children's products under 3 years old (such as talcum powder) are prohibited, and the product label should indicate "prohibited for children under 3 years old". When treating bacterial infected skin and bacterial infectious eczema, the mass fraction of 8-hydroxyquinoline in lotion is 0.001%~0.02%. It is also used as a disinfectant, preservative, and fungicide, with strong antifungal properties. The content (mass fraction) of 8-hydroxyquinoline potassium sulfate used in skin care cream and lotion is 0.05%~0.5%.
Steps
8 Method for synthesizing 8-hydroxyquinoline
Add a dry magnet in a washed and dried 50 ml round bottom flask, add glycerin,Anhydrous copper sulfate and calcium oxide, while stirring while concentrated sulfuric acid;2. After adding concentrated sulfuric acid, heating and refluxing for 1 hour, adding o-aminophenol, stirring for 20 minutes;3. continue to add concentrated sulfuric acid, heated to 130 ° C, the reaction process exothermic reaction 0.5-1 hours,After the completion of the temperature is maintained at a constant 130-140 .4. Addition of o-nitrophenol, the temperature maintained at 135-140 ° C, the reaction 2-3 hours;5. The round bottom flask was cooled and cooled, and distilled water was added. After stirring, a 20% potassium hydroxide solutionNeutralizing the solution in the flask, adjusting the pH value to 7.5-8;6. Add water to extract several times after the organic layer, dried and filtered to obtain a solution, rotary evaporation to remove the organic solution,The solid was precipitated to give 8-hydroxyquinoline. According to the above-mentioned experimental method, eight in the embodiment of the article 1 in two steps, the addition of copper sulfate and calcium oxide, the weight ratio is 1:1, copper sulfate and calcium oxide and to of the weight of the half of the weight of the glycero
